Helensburgh's Homecoming Events

Homecoming Scotland 2009 is bringing many people back to Scotland from around the world; we have noticed a couple of events being promoted to celebrate the Homecoming and have listed them here.

Firstly, on 9 May, the Dorian Choir is giving a concert in the Victoria Halls, Helensburgh.

The Diamond Jubilee Gala Concert
Our Spring Concert is held in May each year - and the 2009 concert will be a very special one!

This concert of celebration will mark our 60th anniversary and will be held on 9th May, at Victoria Halls, Helensburgh at 7.30 pm as part of Homecoming Scotland 2009. We are grateful to Argyll & Bute Council for their generous grant towards the funding of the concert.

Then, on the weekend of 29-31st May

Helensburgh Bi-Centenary Pipe Band and Highland Dancing Competition
Experience Homecoming Year with pipe band championships, Highland dancing competitions, street parades, massed pipes and drums, a Burns supper, a heritage display and a ceilidh. This three day extravaganza makes Helensburgh the place to come home to in 2009.
